Stampin' Up Papillon Potpourri

I have been busy working my way through a a long list of cards I have orders for, in the hope I will finish them early so I can make a good start on my teacher gifts, organised?! I hope to be!!

This is a pretty card using the lovely Papillion Potpourri stamp set with the co-ordinating punches, I used my Stampin' Up! markers to colour the butterflies, adding some tiny pearls at the top of the wings. I love the flower trim in the Spring & Summer catalogue, it's perfect for adding a little colour to with the marker pens - I hope we will see this in the new catalogue in July, if not I know I will need to add an extra pack to my order. The sentiment was created on my computer.

Card Keeper

This is a project I first saw on Pinterest and in an effort to be more organised this year I decided to make one to keep the many cards I make in one place ready to send.

I changed the measurements to fit the Stampin' Up! envelopes I used and I decided on a worn vintage look to the card keeper by using Crumb Cake & Soft Suede ink to distress the edges of the paper.

The dividers were made using many different stamp sets, colouring the word I wanted for my title with a marker pen.

A close up of the felt flower, with some linen thread & a Vintage Brad for the centre.

Delightful Dozen

I don't make a lot of cards for men, but this was a really quick & simple card to make and without embellishments. The designer papers I have used are fantastic value £6.25 for 40 sheets available in the Spring & Summer catalogue.

Hearts A Flutter

This is another project I made earlier in the year but not got around to sharing, I fuound this set of drawers for £4 in Sainsburys - bargain & they were perfect for altering.  I painted them cream & lightly sanded the edges to give a worn finish, then I rubbed some crumb cake ink along the edge to accentuate the worn finish.

This is the top of the drawers, decorated with the gorgeous Artisan Embellishment kit.

Lucy has now claimed ownership of the drawers!!

A quick post today from me a card using part of the extra large Pleasant Poppies stamp.  I used the Watercolour Wonder crayons to colour the image, they give a really intense colour and blend beautifully but if you want to try them you will have to be quick as they are only available while stocks last!!

The school holidays are almost over, although we haven't been away due to the weather being so cold, we have had a few nice days out and completed some of the decorating we had planned for this year. I know Philip is looking forward to going back to school and I know I will enjoy a bit of peace and quiet too!!!

A Fitting Occasion

Today's card uses a stamp set that I wanted in my collection the first time I saw it, although like many it hasn't been used nearly enough!! This stamp set is very similar to my very first Stampin' Up! stamp set Circle of Friends which is now retired.

It's been a much warmer weekend, so lovely to open the windows and hang washing on the line again!!  We have been busy decorating over the past couple of weekends, so far the progress has been good but as Darran is off this week the office/craft room is next on the decorating list - Ooops, now he will see just how much Stampin' Up! stash is actually crammed in there?!

Stampin' Up! Colour Refresh!!

Stampin;' Up! have announced some changes to their colour palette by discontinuing some colours and replacing them with 4 brand new colours and a few old favourites will return to complete the existing colour families.

The discontinued colours are only available while stocks last - so if there are any of your favourites that you can't live without you will need to be quick to stock up while you can!!  All coordinating products in these colours will also be discontinued, including ribbons, buttons and brads, designer papers ect.

The new colours will be available to purchase on 1st July when the new annual catalogue will be launched.
